Case Studies - Maidstone Combined Court

We were contacted on behalf of the Ministry of Justice in regards to applying a new coating to the Plant and Boiler room of Maidstone County Court in Maidstone.

The plant and boiler rooms were contained in the top floor of the building and all works that generated noise had to be completed at the weekend as the courts on the floors below would be in session during weekdays.The two areas had an old epoxy coating that was extremely worn through and exhibited a large number of cracks.

We ground the old coating to remove it and to create a strong mechanical key, and then primed the surfaces that required treating. Once sufficiently cured we infilled the extensive cracks throughout both floors with a custom made resin based mortar. The floor was then coated with our anti-slip floor coating system.
