Scout Shops, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Scout Association, contacted us to provide a new floor coating for their large warehouse and packing areas. Scout Shops are the leading online supplier of Scouting Uniforms, scarves, woggles, flags & badges, along with Scouting, outdoors and camping equipment, clothing and publications.

Warehouse After Self Smoothing Resin Flooring Treatment

The warehouse was divided up into an extensive array of walkways, storage racking and packing bays, all of which needed careful coating. In addition to these areas there was also the packing section, distribution area and a loading bay.

To minimise disruption to the business, all coating works needed to be completed over five separate weekend site visits to guarantee the newly coated areas could be returned to active service on Monday morning.

After discussing the various systems that we were able to offer, Scout Shops decided upon a solvent free, self smoothing resin system in a light grey colour. An additional benefit of this colour was to brighten up the floors between the isles and to make the existing lighting more effective

During each site visit we removed the old, patchy coating, applied the new floor coating and re-instated the demarcation lines in their original position.
