We
provide a cost effective anti-slip surface treatments to existing
fire escapes, emergency escape routes and disabled access ramps, which
become slippery and dangerous when wet. Often these are neglected
until actually needed for use. We treat surfaces made from painted
steel, galvanised steel, checker plate and wood. The work normally
only takes a day or two to complete and we have a wide range of surface
finishes and colours available.
Health and Safety is a very important
matter and is not worth taking risk with external emergency escape
routes or disabled access points that become slippery when wet or
icy.
|
Generally we find that fire escapes and emergency exits are well
maintained and in good condition, except that the main walkway or
steps, usually made from galvanised steel checker plate, are very
often slippery when wet. In the event of an emergency evacuation
of the building this could be potentially very dangerous.

To treat this we apply one of our anti slip treatments to the surfaces.
This gives the treated surface excellent
grip properties. Making the treated surface as near to being completely
slip resistant in all weathers as it is reasonably possible to make. If required we can apply a top coat
of a UV stable coating in order that the treated surface blends
in with existing decorative colour schemes.
